Views from the apartment Two bedroom, two bathroomed apartment in Carvoeiro (Algarve, Portugal). 40 minutes from Faro Airport (direct flights from nearly every UK airport). Large swimming pool on small complex of 12 apartments. Apartment on first floor situated over restaurants and bars, approx 5/10 minutes walk to the beach (5 minutes down, 10 minutes back up!).
Accommodation comprises: Large kitchen/diner - hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, toaster, kettle etc fully kitted out with all utensils. Table and seating for 4 people. Ironing board and iron.
Sitting room - airconditioning and small balcony to front of property. Large, flatscreen TV with freeview box (with UK channels plus some other satellite channels), Gamecube and loads of games, DVD player and films.
Main bedroom - airconditioning and small balcony, double bed. Hairdryer.
Main bathroom - bath, shower, loo, sink Second bedroom (overlooking pool) - twin beds and ensuite shower room, loo and sink. DVD player. Upstairs there is a large roof terrace with sun beds, table and four chairs. At the rear of the property there is a large swimming pool (unheated) and a garden area for the private use of the apartment owners.
Carvoeiro is a bustling little town (former fishing village) with about eighty restaurants and bars, no major nightlife in the way of clubs, but plenty going on at the various bars. There is a lovely sandy beach and safe swimming in the sea. Small supermarket is about 1 minute walk from the apartment, and there is parking outside the apartments. There is a second hand book shop selling English books, several water parks close by and excellent horse riding and golf within a few minutes drive from the apartment. It is comfortable for 4 adults (providing two of them are willing to share the same bed). In the area (car/bus ride) there are several water parks, zoos, theme parks and some lovely villages which are definitely worth exploring if you are into "old" Portugal. The local wine is very good and the food is excellent. Flights can be expensive at the weekends during the peak seaon (unless you book well in advance), but pretty cheap if you shop around for anything mid week.
